How We Started
Our Story
The Pottery Loft was born in 2011 from a simple idea: give children a space to get creative, burn off energy, and have a whole lot of fun along the way.
In 2016, Vikki and Bethaney took over the studio and instantly fell in love with everything it stood for. Over the past decade, they’ve poured their passion into growing The Pottery Loft into the vibrant, welcoming space it is today.
Based in Billingham, Teesside, we’ve created a place where creativity and connection come together. Whether you’re painting pottery, making special keepsakes, or simply enjoying a cuppa while the kids let loose in the soft play, there’s something here for everyone.
And it’s not just for kids — teens, young adults, and grown-ups are all welcome to come along, get stuck in, and enjoy the experience too.
From little hands creating their first masterpieces to friends, couples, and families making memories that last a lifetime, everything we do is about bringing people together and making every visit feel special.

What We Offer
Pottery Painting
Choose from hundreds of ceramic pieces and paint them with our vibrant glazes. Fired in our onsite kilns and ready to collect in 7–14 days.
Precious Prints
Capture little hands, feet and pet paws in paint, clay or even as 3D casts. Keepsakes that truly last a lifetime. Perfect gifts for new parents and grandparents.
Birthday Parties
Private parties for children with dedicated hosts. Choose from Pottery Painting, Build-a-Buddy or get messy with a Slime Party! Catering add-ons available.
Evening Sessions
Bring a bottle and paint pottery with friends in our relaxed after-hours Prosecco & Paint evenings. A great hen do or girls' night out.
Cafe
Enjoy coffee, teas, toasties, sandwiches, and cakes in our on-site café while getting stuck into your chosen activity.
Soft Play
A safe soft play area for under-5s to enjoy while parents get creative or just to satisfy their short attention spans! The perfect family day out.
